2021 AGM Goes with Aplomb
The meeting witnessed a fantastic turnout after a 20 months COVID enforced break, with almost 50 members and visitors taking the time to travel to the venue, which must be a record for an AGM! The fact that we organised a highly successful auction and table show of this year’s youngsters, undoubtedly helped to achieve these numbers. The additional building facilities since our last meeting included an extended meeting space with great lighting and a water friendly floor, and a completely refitted kitchen. We thank the St Bartholomew’s Committee for the additions to the hall that undoubtedly contributed to the success of the meeting.
With some lively discussions about club costs and the vacant committee positions, the resulting agreements made left the members on the day optimistic for 2022.
Our grateful thanks to two of our first-time members to the committee, Keith and Drew, who kindly agreed to stand and be voted in as Hon. Treasurer and Catering Manager respectively, I am sure that the membership will afford them both and the rest of the new committee the usual cooperation and support over the coming year. Our thanks to all of the committee for volunteering.
To review the meeting more in depth the minutes (kindly produced by Pat Davies ) are available to Members to download.
